About Jack Legan

I was born in the heart of São Paulo, and I’ve always felt that the city has a way of speaking through you.
I’m Jack Legan, 27, and for me, music wasn't a choice; it was the way I found to process the duality of the world. My sound is a reflection of that: a mix of the raw energy you feel on the streets during the day and the almost quiet noise of the city throughout the nights.
The Deep Cut era was when I discovered there was more in me than I thought. It started as a way to record stories that were usually kept under a veil of embarrassment.
From the sad-pop sound of "Blind of Love" to the lo-fi plea of "The Game," and from the searching of "Everything Will Be Fine" to the raw honesty of "Demons," these became more than just songs to me; they are now chapters of my life.
In my head, I've always wanted to create more than just music; I want to create a space for anyone who finds beauty in the cracks and honesty in the ache. My music is a deep cut; personal, raw, and meant to stay with you long after the song ends.
My first sample for the world was a soft, whispered cry. Now, I can't wait for you to hear the scream.

The meaning behind the symbology

create

EXPRESS
- verb
1. To cause to exist; to bring into being from nothing.
2. To form, generate, or give origin to.
Human beings possess the capacity to create through all their senses: touch, voice, sight.
A sketch on paper, a chord in the dark, a feeling that didn’t exist yesterday. Everything that surrounds us was, at some point, just an idea.
To create is the beginning of everything; it is the first breath before the sound.
- verb
1. To make public; to manifest feelings or ideas. To give utterance to.
One of the first things we learn upon leaving the womb is to express ourselves through a cry. It is our first scream of existence.
To express, for me, is the most fundamental part of our nature: it is what brings meaning to things that were once illogical.
Through expression, we transform the void into shapes, sounds, and sensations that others can finally feel with us.

EXPLORe
transform
- verb
1. To travel through to study, research, or know.
2. To examine deeply; to analyze.
The moment you discover you can create and express, the need to find out how far you can go is born.
Science is exploration. Art is exploration. Living is a constant search for the unknown.
To explore is to test the limits until you find what is hidden in the shadows of your own mind.
- verb
1. To give a new form or character; to change.
2. To pass from one state to another; to convert or transfigure.
From everything we create, express, and explore, transformation is inevitable.
In feeling, in thinking, in hearing. This is where the cycle closes so that everything may begin again—but now, nothing will be the same.
It is a new perspective, a new gaze. From here, you are ready to begin again
